Heiligenhafen is a charming village on the Baltic sea, and a mecca for cod-fishing. Some of our members travel there every year for decades to fish for big cod. The late autumn and wintertime is best for the really big fish, and this is a relatively inexpensive trip that delivers bang for the buck.

May 2005 - Cape Verdes

The Cape Verdes have established a name in Big Game fishing with our club, with the successful landing of a grander Blue Marlin in 2003 and several big fish on the line since then.

A total of 18 Marlin could be caught in 2003 - all but the Grander were tagged and released - and 13 more could be tagged and released in a week in May 2004. Make sure to check the report of Cape Verdes 2003 to see pics of the biggest fish many of us will ever see...
